What to send with your enquiry

Wire rope, slings, chain and rigging hardware are made to spec – the quicker we have the spec the quicker we come back with a usable quote. For most enquiries the following is enough to land an accurate price and a delivery window:

• Product & quantity – what you need (e.g. "two 6 m wire rope slings, soft eye both ends, 12 mm IWRC") and how many.
• Safe Working Load (SWL) or the load you're lifting and the geometry (single leg, two-leg, sling angle). For chain slings we'll quote against EN 818-4 grades.
• Sector – oil & gas, agriculture, fishing & marine, forestry, mining, general industrial. The sector drives the certification regime.
• End terminations – soft eye, thimbled eye, swaged ferrule, hand-spliced, socketed. Photos help.
• Site & timeline – where it's needed and when. Mossel Bay collection or delivery into the Garden Route?
• Certification – proof load test certificate required? Re-test interval?

How we respond

Most quote requests sent during business hours get a same-day response. Stocked-item quotes are usually back within the hour with price, availability and a delivery window. Custom configurations – bespoke slings, certified hardware kits, proof-tested assemblies – typically come back inside one working day, sometimes longer if the supplier needs to confirm stock on a non-standard diameter or grade.

The office is staffed 08:00–17:00 Monday to Friday; we don't run a 24-hour line, but breakdown-recovery and on-site load-test requests outside hours are handled by direct call to the hub.

Where we operate

The hub, workshop and load-test facility are at 60 Bland Street, Mossel Bay, Western Cape. That's the collection point for in-stock items and the base for the on-site test crew. Delivery is offered across the Garden Route and Southern Cape – Mossel Bay, George, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn – typically same week on standard items, scheduled around the test-crew rotation for combined supply-plus-test jobs.

Project work outside the 150 km radius is handled by arrangement – shipping rigging supplies into the rest of South Africa is standard; on-site testing further afield (Eastern Cape, Northern Cape oil & gas operations, specialised marine work elsewhere on the coast) is quoted on a job-by-job basis with travel and standby costs broken out in the quote.

Visiting the Mossel Bay hub

Walk-ins are welcome during business hours – the racked stock at 60 Bland Street covers steel wire rope (cut to length on demand), wire rope and chain slings, shackles and rigging hardware, PPE and height-safety equipment. For larger orders or anything that needs measuring, cutting or terminating in the workshop, call ahead so we can have the gear and a competent person ready when you arrive.
